Corporate Identity
The symbol representing our founder’s philosophy
Our logo is based on the surname of our founder, Ichimaru. It was designed by taking the kanji for one (一), which is read as ichi, and the meaning of the founder’s second kanji, maru, which means “round” or “circle.” When combining the two, we purposely had the horizontal line protrude from the circle, representing the fact that we are a flexible and innovative company that goes beyond traditional boundaries.
Corporate color
Our corporate color is lapis lazuli blue, a traditional Japanese color that signifies strong will, intelligence, dignity, and grace. It also evokes the brilliance of a clear, deep blue sky, the beautiful ocean, and the earth. It represents the performance, quality, and reliability of our company and all of our products. It also overlaps with our corporate image of protecting the global environment and expanding our products and services across the oceans to all parts of the world.
